My Tamsins

After being gone for nearly two years, tamsins are the reason why I came back into the petz community. It started when the site, Starswept, posted a simple registry for dogs with markings like hers. Star called them 'Tamsins' after her favorite book and really didn't have many expectations. She just wanted to see if there was anybody else out there interested in breeding these dogz. I visited, I saw and I started breeding my own petz -just to see if I could. So did a lot of other people. Pretty soon, there was a club devoted to them. A month or two later there was a tamsin explosion. Everyone had them. Everyone wanted to register.

By that time, I had several registered tamsins. I posted litters on my site. I joined the Tamsin Lovers Club. For me, it was some of the best fun I've ever had with petz and so long as there are petz, I'm sure there will always be tamsins either in the forefront or in the old dusty corners of the net.

A tamsin has a dalmation body type with coat mutations and natural mutt markings. Thats it really. They can be inbred, bred from hexies and have long mixed heritages. Only the markings have to be natural. Later on, 'fuzzy tamsins' came about with poodle and sheepdog fur and markings. Simple as that.

Just a note... most of my tamsins are rather old. My oldest, Breakthrough, was born in 2002. I know brown ears and eyes are not very modern. But... what can I say? I have too many already to want more.

NEO's Underworld Crossing
Look at those eyes... and that little snip near his nose. He's a Chi-tamsin. Different enoungh to cause me to adopt a new tamsin after an entire year of holding back. NEO bred him from scratch. Very impressive!

Don't be surprised by my skills. I'm from Lincoln White. That explains it all.

LW's The Whispered Word
As a puppy, he was pretty cute. Just like all tamsins. But as he grew, he deleveloped this 'look'. He's very different from the other dally types. Calm and collected. No skipping, no bouncing -no howling. And when, he poses, its like he's just settling into it as if its his natural position. I would love a real dog like him.
SilverToo's Intoxication
OoooOOOoo. Applejack. So very beautiful. I bred him from scratch, actually hoping that I would get a tamsin just like him. And I did. Now everyone wants a piece of him. **Grabs doggie and runs**
Ack Megan! Let go!
Applejack

Sahara
SilverToo's Great Sands
This is Applejack's son, Sahara. I think he's beautiful. Entirely from my own lines. Hexie free and inbred free. Heh. Thats not easy to do.
SilverToo's Cold Winds
I bred her to be Applejack's mate. They do have pretty puppies together sometimes. But most of the time, they have their own ideas about mates.

Arctic

Eclipse
Eclipse
I searched everywhere for a dog like her and was always too late and out of luck. Then Rhiannon applied for a petz here and I remembered what a great breeder she was. So I asked her if she would breed me one. And she did! Aw! I love Eclipse! I will never forget that kind favor.
SilverToo's Now What
I actually had Catch for a long time and thought many times about giving him away, but in the end... I really like his white eyelids and brown fur.

Catch
Spots and patches... Tamsins are the one!
Breakthrough
SilverToo's Breakthrough
This is Breakthrough, the son of Bailey. He's a tamsin! And one of the first olive Tamsins to be registered at Starswept. Ok.. now that's bragging. I didn't even know what color he would officially known as. But, I love him. Mine forever.
Midnight Naming
This is... a fuzzy tamsin! Isn't she cute? I got her from Rhiannon. I like this look. Mixed with a sheepie she was. At some point anyway. But awww... I love fuzzy tamsins!
But you didn't take into account the fuzzy tamsin, Strawberry. Did you? You lose.
Halfmoon
Fuzzy Tamsins... we rule.
Luminary
SilverToo's See The Light
Luminary is Halfmoon's beautiful son. They look alike, but Luminary is quite abit more outgoing than his mother. He's also an awesome poser. I just couldn't part with him.
SHN's Silent Call
I didn't have any grey tamsins, and I thought it would be nice to have at least one. I asked Joe if she had a tamsin like that, and guess what... she had two! I loved getting Naama. It made my day.

Naama

Acci
Shaz's Castle of Spirits
I adopted this grey one from Shazam. She and Naama look so pretty playing on the beach together. I always bring them out at the same time. Both are awesome frisbee dogz.
Antoniette's Emerald Sea
I couldn't resist Quatre. Not with those green eyes. He's got a great career ahead of him. :)
I'd go for Atlantic's blue eyes anyday.
Quatre
Beneath the waves is the place for me.
Atlantic
CCK's Cold Water
I couldn't believe it when I adopted Atlantic. I thought I was getting a black dally with blue eyes and a white foot. But she turned out to be a lot more than just that!
SilverToo's Goblin Hunter
Yes he is a white tamsin. A nice one at that. I love those green eyes.

Magic
What do you mean I was a freebie??
Speck
Pixie's Inclement Weather
This guy was a freebie. What? Yea. I never. I thought he was one of the most beautiful tamsins I'd ever seen. Ever. Do I really have to point out why?
SilverToo's I'll Pounce Ya
I got Tigger in a trade. I would have never have chosen an orange Tamsin otherwise. But he's a nice looking guy isn't he?
Check out the Orange Tamsin!
Tigger
Let the clouds roll in.
Stormie
Starswept's Begins the Dark
My very own Starswept Dally. :) Don't let the pic fool you, this one has killer poses. And yes, I mean plural.
Skyrocket's Spell Crafter
He's my most mysterious tamsin. I love the dark eyes and single chestpatch. It makes him look almost evil. He's not... but he reminds me of... I don't know... a tragic hero.
I'm not going to say anything.
