Star Wars Galaxies

When I was eight, I was totally in love with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. I loved the adventure anyway. For a long time, I only saw the movies when they came on TV. Commercials and all. I still love the movies. But I never became a Star Wars junkie. I don't own anything Star Wars.

I'm also not a huge fan of video games. Sure, I like the way they look. But I get bored with them quickly. I like programs where you actually create things. Like photoshop and Word. Or petz where you can breed new and interesting pixels. And even Zoo Tycoon. I have a dozen custom zoos.

However...
Last week, my boyfriend bought the game, Star Wars Galaxies. He's addicted to Everquest. So no surprise there. I was used to his gaming bug. But this was different. He played at my house everynight and turned into a totally different person. Hello? I asked if you would like a drink of water? Hello? Please? Can't you hear me? Sniff.

After growling at him for the whole ignoring thing... we decided that maybe if I played the game we could have adventures together. So now I have my own account. I have to say, its kinda fun. :)

	My Character Almea Tarrant. Yes, I named her after a character in one of my favorite books. Why that one? I really can't say. I tried to make her look like me! lol. So Kyle wouldn't forget what I looked like. :) She's a brawler. I thought about all of the other options and I'm still thinking about taking her in a different direction. But for now she is going to be the best fencer I can make her.
	My boyfriend... Thugar. I'm not kidding. He decided to be a wookie. Which, I think, is pretty cool. I had helped design his furriness. I wanted him to look friendly. If you think friendly can be 8ft. tall. Right now, he's a marksman. A good skill to have. And no... my boyfriend doesn't look anything like a wookie.
We have another r/l friend that we play with. He brought his computer over and we had a good time. I'll get his pics in the next time we play.
	Almea & Thugar Yep. Here we are together, planning what we're going to do next. I'm just a beginner, so the first thing I want to do is earn enough money to by some new clothes. Purple. Yuck. They dressed me in purple!
	Earning Experience OK... so in order to get a new outfit, I have to earn some cash. How does a brawler earn cash? Killing monsters. Thats how. I'm a glorified exterminator. This monster nearly did me in by the way.
	The Insanity Thugar and Almea hunted monsters in the desert. I was a little nervous. I mean, doesn't that thing look dangerous to you? I'll have to kill a lot of creatures for a new blouse. This is hard work.
	Camping Thugar made camp after we both got slaughtered by a horde of giant lizards. Tatooine is a rough place.
	More Camping... I'm sure Almea is wondering how she ended up on this backwater planet and in the company of a giant wookie. I'll never tell.
	The Cantina After camping, we limp back to the city where we hang out at Cantina Mos Eisely.
	It looks... interesting In order to heal completely, you have to listen to music and watch the dancers. Lots of players choose the career of a musician or dancer. You could also be a taylor or another kind of artison.
	A Dancer I brightened up this photo as the cantina was really dark. I liked this one's costume. She looked a lot like an Egyption princess. But on a darker screen, she looked pretty eerie. I suppose she earns a lot in tips.
	The Medical Center Next we went to the medical center, to heal all of our physical wounds. This place is boring. But a good time to walk away from your keyboard and find something to eat.
	Thugar Dances I don't think there is anything else here that can compare to the sight if a sexy dancing wookie.
	Thugar Dances Con't... This us fun! Eventually, I'll be able to buy new clothes... and maybe even get off of this freaking planet. Endor sounds like a nice place.
	The End I like this game. Its a little like living another life. Actually, thats freaking scary.
